I was lucky enough to visit a few Capability Scotland charity shops in Edinburgh (in Stockbridge and Morningside) and just LOVED the humour and little details their staff had added and spent time on (like adding their own 'notes' on the price cards and the 'personalised' pictures in the window) that I really appreciated and loved. Very creative! If you pass a Capability Scotland shop check out their windows and have a rummage inside, not only can you pick up some amazing items, but you can be entertained by the tags.Capability Scotland - ROCK ON!
A "Gucci" bag
The label said - 'Gucci?!!? Me Thinks Not'
A gold top made of crazy material that would scratch / itch you.
The label said - 'Scratchy, Itchy BUT you have to pay the price for such glamour'

I have just returned from one of the most amazeballs weekends in my home country, Scotland. A weekend of many laughs with new and old friends, I love them all!!!
Flew to Edinburgh Thursday, spent the day raiding Urban Outfitters, 'window shopping' and present shopping, fueling up on some yummy TGI Friday chicken sandwiches & managed to sit outside, enjoy the sunny warm weather and take in the views of the castle and Edinburgh streetstyle. Thanks to D & M for treating me like a princess!!!!
Friday - Sunday: Glasgow for my best friends henny that I had organised. MUCHOS fun. Think 80s slumber party (with whole outfits bought for a tenner from Primark), recording a music video (with choreography), luxuriating in having our own make up artists, then dinner/cocktails and dancing at Arta. Sunday we brunched at the Charles Rennie Mackintosh tea rooms.
Then back to Edinburgh for some chilling action on the couch with D, M and the cutest, craziest kitten Trevor, with scrumptious salt n vinegar crisps (SO glad you cannot get them over here).
Monday was spent rummaging through charity shops with D and M in Stockbridge and Morningside - the perfect way to spend a holiday Monday. Major props to Capability Scotland (Stockbridge shop) for writing little descriptions on their price labels - they ROCKED!!!
OK, as for the streetstyle, here is what I saw on the streets of Edinburgh and Glasgow:
- Maxi dresses
- Denim jackets, denim shirts and denim waistcoats (NEED to get myself a denim wasitcoat ASAP)
- HEELS, HEELS and HEELS (platforms, peep toes, wedges, the higher the better) - VERY impressive!!!
- Denim shorts over tights
- Messy up do's (hair)
- False eyelashes (inspired by TOWIE?!)
- Red hair (as I was told, inspired by Cheryl Cole/Tweedy)
- Vintage style (think vintage dresses with tights and brogues and vintage inspired make up/hair)
- Preppy college look (shirts, chino's, hair swept back)
I loved every minute of my stay in Scotland and fell in love a little bit more with my homeland & with all my wonderful friends.
